I’m sure you have heard repeatedly that it’s been a tough year so I won’t labour the point. We all know how it’s been but I am glad that Ikigai Journal has been able to show you that there are opportunities out there with your name on them. 

You are not alone. The world wants to see you work on your best ideas and I want to see what you can do with the right funding at the right time - I am staying committed to the mission; to demystify funding opportunities. 

I am filled with gratitude for the love and encouragement this project has received and it’s been a pleasure. We have been through a few researchers over the year so some newsletters have been more robust than others and this issue is by far our biggest one yet! A fitting celebration as we approach our 1st birthday in the coming weeks. I hope you find what you are looking for - if not, reach out and we will seek out what you need.

Judy Chicago Art Education Award

Google.org Impact Challenge for Women and Girls

Draper Richards Kaplan (DRK) Foundation

RA Summer Exhibition 2021

The Summer Exhibition is the largest art exhibition in the world with the eligibility of artists from the UK and all over the world. The art- submission requires a fee of €35 per entry with each person limited to a maximum of two entries. The exhibition will be held at Royal Academy, London from 22 Sept 2021 to 2 Jan 2022. Film Fund Grant Program

The BFI/Doc Society Ripple Effect Fund

Pare Lorentz Documentary Fund

Filmmakers | $15,000 to $25,000 | 28th June 2021

The documentary fund focuses on selected issue areas that were hallmarks of Pare Lorentz's film. This year's focus is challenging white supremacy. The applicants for the funding must be 18 years of age or older and do not need to be a US citizen or resident, however, the grants to non-US citizens will be subject to mandatory US government withholding. The Whickers were established in 2015 to fund and recognise original and innovative documentary.
